On Tuesday, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the union minister for health, and Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, the minister for ayurveda, jointly opened a center for integrative medicine at the Department of Integrative Medicine of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) at the Safdarjung hospital.

According to Dr. Mandaviya, who emphasized the importance of holistic healthcare in India′s growth story, the country has finally linked health with its development story, and citizens must remain informed about their health, which is critical for wealth generation.

In his statement, he reaffirmed the government′s commitment to providing healthcare services at the last mile, noting that more than 1.5 million Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers (AB-HWCs) are being used nationwide to administer health and wellness programs.

Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of this integrative approach and claimed that stakeholders, including health sector specialists and the private medical sector, are also pushing forward for this integrative medicine strategy.
